On October 19th, reports surfaced indicating that an optical component company based in Nanchang, Jiangxi, has successfully penetrated the high-speed optical communication market with its small glass products, thanks to the escalating demand for AI computing power. The company's product lineup has evolved from 2.5G PON filters to cutting-edge 1.6T optical modules, witnessing a staggering value increase of over 60 times in just 11 years.

With the rapid construction of AI large-scale models and computing centers, the market for 5nm and 10nm high-precision coating products is experiencing significant expansion. In response, the company has strategically adjusted its business mix from an 8:2 ratio (traditional imaging versus optical communication) to an equal 5:5 split. In the first half of this year, the revenue generated from its communication optics business soared by 118.25% year-on-year, with profits nearly eclipsing those of the entire previous year. Moreover, orders for high-speed optical module components have been secured through to the end of 2027, signaling a robust and sustained growth trajectory.
