On October 19, South Korea's financial regulatory body expressed on Monday that if Solidigm, the U.S. arm of SK Hynix, proceeds with a public offering in the United States, it might contravene the pertinent "dual-listing" restrictions. Lee Chan-jin, the head of the Financial Supervisory Service in South Korea, disclosed that the country's regulatory agencies are evaluating whether Solidigm must adhere to South Korean regulatory reviews for its U.S. IPO. When queried about how Solidigm's listing would protect the rights and interests of minority shareholders in its parent company, SK Hynix, Lee Chan-jin stated that both the Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service in South Korea are of the opinion that such a move breaches the "dual-listing" regulations and have been keeping a close eye on the situation.
