On the 12th (local time), AMD officially rolled out its latest-generation Ryzen AI Halo developer platform, which is powered by the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. When compared to its first-generation counterpart, this new platform boasts improved performance across its CPU, GPU, and NPU components. It supports a substantial memory capacity of up to 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533, with 160GB of that memory being configurable as shared video memory. This configuration allows for the local execution of large models that surpass 300 billion parameters. Currently, the Linux version of the platform is available at a price of $7,299.99, while the Windows version, which comes pre-installed with Microsoft's Project Zenith, is set to be released at a later date.
