Liu Weiping, Chairman of Empyrean, stated at the 26th China International Industry Fair that the overall development of the domestic EDA industry is positive, with a continuously improving product chain. The coverage of tools has increased from less than 30% to 85%, and some point tools have reached international advanced levels. However, the industry still lacks support capabilities across the entire industrial chain, and the performance of some tools needs further improvement. In segmented application areas, the localization rates of EDA tools for flat panel displays, storage, and wafer manufacturing have all exceeded 50%. Additionally, the coverage of domestic EDA ecosystem platforms for major process nodes has reached 50% and is expected to reach 80% this year.
