Market research firm Counterpoint Research predicts that by 2030, the global DRAM demand for the humanoid robot industry will surge from approximately 8,300 petabits in 2026 to around 172,000 petabits, marking an increase of over 20 times. This growth will be driven by an increase in the number of robots deployed and an enhancement in the memory capacity per unit. It is anticipated that the DRAM capacity per humanoid robot will rise from 19GB to 39GB. Humanoid robots are expected to become a new growth driver for memory chip companies such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.
