On the midday break of October 9, 2026, a notable downturn swept across the three primary A-share indices. The Shanghai Composite Index registered a 1.21% decrease, while the Shenzhen Component Index witnessed a steeper drop of 2.09%. The ChiNext Index also didn't fare well, sliding by 2.61%. The electronic components sector, along with communication equipment and semiconductor industries, was at the forefront of the losses. Notably, Fangbang Co., Ltd. plummeted by over 13%, Lianke Technology tumbled more than 10%, and Sunway Communication saw a decline exceeding 8%. Conversely, the coal, precious metals, and agricultural sectors emerged as bright spots, with Wanxiang Denon surging to its daily limit. Meanwhile, Zijin Mining and China Shenhua enjoyed gains of over 2%.
