Amid a downturn in the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI), with shares of SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics experiencing declines, Samsung Electro-Mechanics emerged as a standout performer, surging by over 5%. The company revealed that it has inked a one-year supply agreement for multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) destined for AI servers with a prominent global corporation, with the contract valued at an estimated KRW 290 billion. This achievement marks its sixth long-term supply contract announcement of the year. Goldman Sachs forecasts swift expansion in the AI server MLCC market, a sector where Samsung Electro-Mechanics commands a substantial market share exceeding 40%. Since May of this year, the company has consistently secured long-term supply contracts for related products, amassing a total value of approximately KRW 3.9 trillion.
