Under the overarching strategy of establishing the 'United Microelectronics Company' (ОМК), Russia has laid out plans to construct three new chip manufacturing facilities. Among these, there stands a factory dedicated to the 'forward-looking mass production' of 300mm wafers, employing the advanced 14nm process technology. As per the investment timeline, the initial design phase for this 300mm wafer factory is slated to kick off in 2027, during which a fundamental 14nm process blueprint will be showcased. The preparatory work, expected to span two years, is projected to reach completion by 2029. Ultimately, the construction of the factory is anticipated to wrap up prior to 2036.
