The upward trajectory of overseas photoresist prices has served as a catalyst, expediting the substitution of domestic photoresists in the market. Downstream wafer fabrication plants (fabs) have substantially ramped up testing opportunities for locally produced alternatives. Consequently, the standard validation cycle for these domestic photoresists has been condensed from the previous 1-2 years to a more streamlined 6-12 months. Notably, certain companies have highlighted that photoresist expenses constitute a mere 1% of their overall operational costs, underscoring its relatively modest financial impact.
