On September 23, analyst SK Kim from Daiwa Securities stated that Samsung Electro-Mechanics' revenue growth may benefit from the demand for multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) from artificial intelligence data servers. Given that the company has recently signed long-term supply contracts for next year with several large tech companies, it is projected that by 2027, AI servers will account for 40% of its total MLCC revenue. AI servers use 30% more MLCCs compared to the previous generation of data servers. Daiwa Securities maintains a 'buy' rating on Samsung Electro-Mechanics but has lowered its target price from KRW 3.3 million to KRW 3 million to reflect the downward adjustment in the price-to-earnings ratios of peer companies.
