In a bid to bolster the execution of the compulsory national standard GB 46864-2025, titled 'Data Security Technology - Technical Specifications for Information Clearing in Electronic Products,' the Secretariat of the National Cybersecurity Standardization Technical Committee, with oversight from entities such as the Cyberspace Administration of China and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, coordinated more than 30 pertinent organizations to formulate and formally publish three cybersecurity standard practice guides. These include: 'Technical Guidelines for Block-Level Erasure in Semiconductor Storage Devices,' 'Administrative Guidelines for Information Clearing During Electronic Product Recycling,' and 'Technical Guidelines for Information Clearing in Mobile Smart Devices.' The primary objective of these guides is to establish standardized and regulated practices for information clearing within the realm of electronic products.
