On September 17th, reports indicated that during the "2026 National Cybersecurity Publicity Week - Sub-forum on Information Clearing in Electronic Products," held in Jinan, Shandong Province, on September 15th, three practical guides for cybersecurity standards were officially unveiled. These guides include the "Technical Guidelines for Block Erasure of Semiconductor Storage Media", "Management Guidelines for Information Clearing During the Recycling Process of Electronic Products", and "Technical Guidelines for Information Clearing of Mobile Intelligent Terminals". These guides are designed to facilitate the implementation of the mandatory national standard GB 46864-2025 "Technical Requirements for Information Clearing in Electronic Products within Data Security Technology". They provide clear guidance and standardized practices for information clearing activities in electronic products. Under the guidance of the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and other relevant departments, the Secretariat of the National Cybersecurity Standardization Technical Committee coordinated efforts from over 30 entities, including storage chip manufacturers, electronic product manufacturers, recyclers, and third-party institutions, to jointly compile these comprehensive guides.
