Changxin Technology (688825.SH) posted an extraordinary operating profit margin of 82% in the second quarter of this year, securing the top position among six leading memory chip companies, which include Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Micron Technology, Kioxia Holdings, SanDisk, and itself. Specializing in the DRAM sector, Changxin Technology boasts an impressive client roster that features industry giants such as Alibaba, ByteDance, and Tencent. For this quarter, the company's operating profit soared to approximately 1.9 trillion yen, a stark contrast to the roughly 29 billion yen loss it incurred during the same period last year. Meanwhile, its revenue climbed to around 2.3 trillion yen, achieving the highest growth rate among the six companies. Changxin Technology's profit level has now eclipsed that of Kioxia and SanDisk, and is reshaping the competitive landscape of the global memory chip market, which has long been dominated by South Korean, U.S., and Japanese firms.
