Intel's CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, forecasts that the scarcity of memory supply will intensify by 2027, driven by the burgeoning demand for AI. He points out that prices for certain memory types have already skyrocketed, reaching five to seven times their original values. Owing to this memory deficit, numerous companies have been compelled to decelerate their business expansion plans. Concurrently, the soaring demand for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) in AI applications has compounded the supply strain on general-purpose Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM).
