On September 16, TrendForce reported that, influenced by the sluggish consumer market demand and the crowding-out effect of AI-related capital expenditures, companies in the Micro LED sector are expected to reallocate their resources toward applications with clear commercialization prospects by 2026. Within the display application realm, Micro LED technology is set to lower entry barriers through modularization and supply chain integration, thereby penetrating highly interactive and high-value-added markets. For non-display applications, Micro LED is making strides in the CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) optical interconnection field, aiming to establish a foothold in AI infrastructure. Overall, Micro LED is transcending the limitations of traditional display technologies and venturing into cross-disciplinary domains such as smart wearables, smart cockpits, AR, and AI computing infrastructure, continuously gaining market traction through incremental adoption. By 2030, the combined output value of Micro LED display application modules and CPO modules is projected to reach $5.308 billion.
