Fujitsu has announced its intention to commence the export of its cutting-edge 2nm process Arm instruction set processor, the FUJITSU-MONAKA, to Asian and American markets beyond Japan, with a targeted start date as early as 2027. This processor represents a significant commercial venture for Fujitsu, which forged a development and promotion cooperation agreement with AMD back in 2024. At present, Fujitsu is actively engaged in negotiations with over 40 companies regarding AI server contracts that leverage this processor, with 24 firms in the financial and telecommunications sectors already having initiated trial deployments. Furthermore, Fujitsu is also strategizing to pitch this product to major cloud service providers in the United States. The company has set ambitious goals, aiming to achieve cumulative sales of its proprietary processors totaling 250 billion yen and to sell 60,000 AI servers by the fiscal year 2030.
