The SilverStone ECS07 expansion card has made its official debut on the company's website. This card features the JieWei JMB585 chip and adheres to the M.2 2280 M-Key specification. Its upstream interface is PCIe Gen3 ×2, while the downstream side boasts five SATA III (6Gbps) ports that comply with the SATA 3.2 standard. To ensure efficient heat dissipation, the expansion card is fitted with an aluminum alloy heatsink and bottom cover. It offers plug-and-play convenience, eliminating the need for additional driver installation. Moreover, it supports SATA hot-swapping and automatic hard drive detection, though RAID functionality is not supported. In terms of system compatibility, the expansion card works seamlessly with Windows 10 and 11, as well as the Ubuntu 26.04 LTS distribution under Linux. Its standout feature is its ability to significantly boost storage expansion capabilities without taking up PCIe expansion slots.
