Brazilian hardware aficionado TecLab has showcased an innovative solution: To circumvent the recurring melting problem of the RTX 5090 power connector, they have opted to bypass the conventional 16-pin interface and instead solder the power cables directly onto the graphics card's PCB. This unconventional approach was taken in light of the frequent incidents where the RTX 5090's power connector melted, even when utilizing genuine adapter cables and ATX 3.1-compliant power supplies. Although TecLab's technique is rather radical, it presents a fresh angle for tackling power supply issues.
