NVIDIA reported a remarkable doubling of its earnings for the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year, comfortably outpacing market forecasts. For the first time, the company also issued guidance for fiscal year 2028, predicting an operating income growth of around 70%—significantly higher than analysts’ projections of 45%. In the wake of this announcement, Hong Kong-listed stocks within the optical communication sector experienced a collective upswing. Notably, Zhongji Innolight surged by over 4%, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable rose by more than 3%, while Cambridge Technology and Integral Technology both climbed over 2%.
