According to data from Bank of America, TSMC’s Arizona plant is steadily expanding its share of both revenue and profit. The facility has incorporated TSMC’s cutting-edge production lines in the United States, with the initial phase utilizing a 4-nanometer process, the second phase a 3-nanometer process, and the third phase introducing 2-nanometer and 1.6-nanometer processes, alongside the establishment of an advanced packaging facility. Despite the elevated construction costs in the U.S., the plant has already commenced production of AI GPUs for NVIDIA, showcasing impressive financial performance and conversion capabilities. In the first half of 2026, the plant reported a profit of NT$36.066 billion, marking a remarkable year-on-year surge of 662.8% and establishing itself as the primary profit contributor among TSMC’s overseas manufacturing sites. TSMC has declared an additional investment of $100 billion in Arizona to cater to the robust demand from U.S. customers in the years ahead.
