On August 19, reports emerged indicating that Samsung anticipates advanced processes will constitute over half of its wafer foundry revenue in the current year. Notably, applications in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) are expected to make up more than 30% of this revenue, marking a significant increase from the 15% to 20% projected by the end of 2025. Amidst TSMC's capacity constraints, Samsung has found itself in a stronger position to negotiate pricing. Sources close to the matter revealed that the SF4 production line at Samsung's Pyeongtaek facility in South Korea has been operating at full capacity since the close of last year.
