In the first half of this year, the number of individual minority shareholders in Samsung Electronics neared 8 million, hitting an all-time high. By the end of June, the count of minority shareholders had reached 7,971,242, marking an increase of roughly 2.92 million compared to the same period in the previous year. This surge is largely attributable to the thriving stock market and escalating market expectations regarding the value of semiconductor companies. Consequently, a significant number of individual investors have been drawn to Samsung Electronics, a renowned blue-chip stock. Considering South Korea's adult population stands at approximately 43 million, this implies that one out of every five South Korean adults owns shares in Samsung Electronics.
