On August 14, NVIDIA announced that the Spectrum-X Ethernet Photonics has officially entered full-scale mass production. This product is specifically designed for the next-generation large-scale scalable network infrastructure of AI factories, meeting the network demands of gigawatt-scale AI factories. Compared to traditional solutions, it reduces the number of lasers by 4 times, lowers power consumption by 5 times, and extends the mean time between failures by 10 times. Companies such as TSMC, SPIL, Lumentum, TFC Communication, and Foxconn have participated in the manufacturing, packaging, and assembly processes of this product.
