Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft were all in the red, with declines ranging from 1.09% to 2.09%. The semiconductor sector showed mixed fortunes, with Nvidia barely in negative territory at a 0.02% loss, while Advanced Micro Devices and Intel rose, gaining 1.01% and 0.19%, respectively.
Turning to Chinese concept stocks, the overall trend was downward, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index plummeting by 3%. NetEase, Alibaba, Tencent Music, and Bilibili all saw their share prices drop by more than 2%. Pinduoduo, Baidu, Nio, Li Auto, and XPeng Group were not spared either, with declines exceeding 1%. JD.com, meanwhile, experienced a near 1% drop.
