On August 1, 2026, industry insiders revealed that Changxin Memory’s LPDDR6 memory chip is on the verge of completing its R&D verification phase and is now entering a pivotal stage prior to mass production. This new product boasts a design speed of 12,800 Mbps, employs a 1295-ball POP (Package on Package) design, and has a capacity of 16 Gb. When compared to LPDDR5X, it demonstrates markedly enhanced low-power consumption and RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability) performance, fully meeting the LPDDR6 standard set forth by JEDEC. Changxin Memory commenced sending samples to major customers in March 2026 and is anticipated to officially launch the product and commence mass production in the latter half of 2026.
