Zhongji Innolight, a global frontrunner in optical modules, commenced trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today, marking its status as the first company with a trillion-dollar market capitalization to list both 'A+H' shares this year. The H-share issue price was set at HK$980, but the stock opened below this level at HK$971 and has continued to drift lower throughout the session. The IPO raised approximately HK$53.4 billion, with the potential to reach up to HK$61.4 billion if the over-allotment option is fully exercised—making it the largest IPO in Hong Kong for the year. The company indicated that proceeds will be directed primarily toward pioneering technology R&D and the ongoing expansion of high-end production capabilities.
