On the midday break of July 30, the three primary indices of A-shares witnessed a collective downturn. The Shanghai Composite Index experienced a decline of 1.15%, while the Shenzhen Component Index tumbled by 3.79%, and the ChiNext Index nosedived by 5.89%. The semiconductor and optical module sectors were particularly hard-hit, with Tongfu Microelectronics, Cambridge Technology, and Dongshan Precision all reaching their daily limit declines. Meanwhile, Zhongji Innolight and Cambricon saw their share prices plummet by over 10%. In contrast, consumer stocks displayed resilience, with Jinhui Liquor and Shede Spirits, among others, hitting their daily limit increases. The banking sector also surged, with both Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and China Construction Bank achieving all-time highs in their share prices.
