On July 27, CXMT, a prominent domestic DRAM (Dynamic Random-Access Memory) producer, made its debut on the Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Priced at 49.5 yuan per share at the opening bell, its stock soared by 471.59% from its initial public offering price of 8.66 yuan. This surge propelled its total market capitalization to over 3.31 trillion yuan, eclipsing the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) to claim the title of the largest company by market value among A-shares. At one point during the trading session, its market value peaked at 3.65 trillion yuan, outstripping both Tencent Holdings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Intel on the US stock market.
