Supermicro (SMCI) has projected that its revenue for the fourth fiscal quarter will hover around the lower end of the previously forecasted range, which spans from $11 billion to $12.5 billion. Concurrently, the company has significantly upgraded its gross margin guidance, now estimating it to fall between 15% and 17%. This new projection markedly surpasses the earlier forecast of 8.2% to 8.4%. As the fiscal year drew to a close, Supermicro's backlog soared to an all-time high, with new orders for the quarter surpassing $60 billion. In reaction to this positive development, Supermicro's stock price experienced a remarkable surge of over 20% in after-hours trading.
