Novosense has adopted a triple-protection architecture, encompassing device-level ESD protection, RS-FEC (Reed-Solomon Forward Error Correction), and a physical layer retransmission mechanism. This comprehensive approach provides a system-level ESD solution specifically tailored for the NLS9116/NLS9113 serializers and NLS9246/NLS9243 deserializers. This solution has undergone rigorous testing in accordance with the ISO 10605-2023 standard. It successfully meets Class A requirements in both powered-on ESD tests (involving contact discharge of ±8KV and air discharge of ±25KV) and powered-off ESD tests (involving pin discharge of ±8KV). As a result, it offers automotive manufacturers enhanced design margins and robust reliability assurance.
