On July 14, foreign media reported that SK Hynix has commenced mass production and shipment of 12-layer HBM4 to NVIDIA, with the product entering the ramp-up phase. Unlike the previously supplied samples, this HBM4 is tailored to the final specifications that have completed all quality certifications, targeting NVIDIA's next-generation AI platform, 'Vera Rubin'. It is anticipated that starting from September this year, SK Hynix will scale up its shipments of HBM4 to meet the demand for NVIDIA's high-end computing chips.
