ChangXin Memory Technologies, a Chinese memory manufacturer, is aggressively ramping up its production capabilities. Based on projections from industry analysts, the company’s monthly production capacity for 12-inch wafers is anticipated to hit 350,000 units by the end of 2026. This figure nears Micron Technology’s current output range of 375,000 to 385,000 units, positioning ChangXin as a potential contender to become the world’s third-largest DRAM supplier, possibly overtaking Micron.
Specializing in DRAM and HBM production, ChangXin Memory Technologies reported impressive financial results for the first quarter of 2026. The company achieved revenue of 50.8 billion yuan, marking a staggering 719.13% increase year-on-year. Its net profit reached 33.012 billion yuan, underscoring a remarkable surge in performance.
ChangXin’s expansion strategy includes the construction of a new factory in Shanghai, slated to begin operations in 2027. Once operational, this facility is expected to double the company’s production capacity. The ascent of ChangXin Memory Technologies signals that China’s memory industry has entered a phase of rapid growth, reshaping the competitive landscape of the global memory market.
