On July 13, Intel announced an additional investment of 5 billion euros (approximately 5.7 billion US dollars) in its Leixlip campus in Ireland to expand its advanced chip manufacturing capabilities and meet the demands of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. The investment will be used to upgrade wafer fab facilities, install advanced manufacturing equipment, expand automated production systems, enhance the production capacity of Intel Xeon 6 and next-generation Xeon server processors under the Intel 3 process node, and expand research and development activities.
