Based on reports from U.S. media outlets, Apple was granted tariff waivers for imported chips last year. This concession might have been a result of its pledge to have Intel produce chips at its facilities within the United States. Following over a year of discussions, both parties have come to an understanding. Intel is now slated to produce chips for select Apple Mac and iPhone models, with an initial emphasis on entry-level devices that are anticipated to make their debut between 2027 and 2028.
