Facing cost pressures due to the relentless surge in global memory prices, Apple has recently embarked on testing DRAM memory chips sourced from the Chinese supplier, ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT). However, it's worth noting that CXMT is currently ensnared in the U.S. Department of Defense's "Blacklist of Chinese Military-Industrial Complex Companies." Industry analysts point out that even if Apple gains the green light to incorporate CXMT memory into certain products, this move will merely offer a fleeting reprieve from the memory price crisis, rather than comprehensively addressing the underlying supply-demand imbalance plaguing the industry.
