Recently, AMD's 'Medusa Point' Zen 6 APU engineering sample reappeared in the Geekbench database, this time discovered by renowned leaker HXL under the name 100-000001713-33_N. The sample demonstrated further performance improvements on the test platform Plum-MDS1 FP10, despite its nominal frequency being only slightly above 2.0 GHz. In Geekbench 6 testing, this 10-core, 20-thread APU scored 3174 in single-core performance and 15092 in multi-core performance, representing approximately 29% and 22% higher averages, respectively, compared to the current Ryzen AI 9 365 (Strix Point). Additionally, Geekbench reported for the first time Zen 6's support for the FP16 instruction set AVX-VNNI, indicating that the Medusa Point APU will possess full FP16 computing capabilities, aiding in accelerating AI and machine learning inference tasks.
