On July 1, MEMSIC released an announcement addressing recent market rumors concerning MEMS probe products and its joint venture, Jiangsu Minchengxin Semiconductor Co., Ltd., which was established in collaboration with partners specifically for these products. At present, the joint venture has only recently finalized its registration process, and its R&D team is in the process of being gradually assembled. As a result, no products have been manufactured to date. Future products will have to undergo several phases, including R&D, trial production, and mass production, each introducing its own set of uncertainties. Concurrently, there has been no revenue generated from these related products, and the outlook for market promotion remains unclear. Furthermore, the investment scale of the joint venture is relatively modest, representing the company's exploratory foray into R&D within the MEMS probe sector. This venture carries the risk of R&D failure, and the current investment level is inadequate to sustain large-scale mass production.
