According to reports, Tesla's Terafab project has brought on board Gary Jiang, an Intel veteran, as the project director. Driven by Musk, the project aims to support his space AI and robotic chip demands. Intel, as a partner, will collaborate using its 14A chip manufacturing technology. The Terafab project is planned to be built in Austin, Texas, integrating the entire industrial chain, including chip design, manufacturing, and packaging. The goal is to achieve an annual production capacity of 1 terawatt of computing power chips, with approximately 80% intended for space applications and 20% for ground applications.
