Concurrently, operating costs within this sector climbed to RMB 6.42 trillion, reflecting a 13.9% rise from the previous year. Total profits skyrocketed to RMB 422 billion, boasting an impressive 104% year-on-year surge. Focusing solely on May, the sector's revenue reached RMB 1.64 trillion, up by 22.2% compared to the same month last year. Additionally, from January to May, the value-added of the electronic information manufacturing sector above designated size witnessed a 14.6% year-on-year growth, outstripping the growth rates of the broader industrial sector and high-tech manufacturing by 9.2 and 1.5 percentage points, respectively.
