On June 30, 2026, AMD released the Versal Premium Gen 2 MoP adaptive SoC, featuring its first packaged memory architecture. This SoC integrates up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory within a single package, delivering a maximum bandwidth of 288GB/s. Compared to traditional onboard or discrete LPDDR5X solutions, the MoP architecture significantly reduces PCB area usage by up to 60%, while increasing memory transfer rates to 9000MT/s and boosting bandwidth by 5.5%. Designed for high-performance physics and enterprise-level AI applications, the SoC supports an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +110°C and offers over 15 years of lifecycle support. Standard versions of the Versal Premium Gen 2 are now shipping, with MoP variants expected to provide samples by the end of 2026 and enter mass production in the second half of 2027.
