Marcin Juszkiewicz, a senior software engineer on Red Hat's ARM team, had originally planned to switch his primary development machine to an Ampere Altra-based processor starting from June 2025 and use the Linux on Arm64 version for daily development. However, after encountering long-term issues such as PCIe controller failures, he ultimately decided to abandon the Arm processor and switch to an AMD processor based on the x86 architecture.
