The '300mm Fab Outlook' report released by the global semiconductor industry association SEMI indicates that investment in 300mm wafer fab equipment in the memory sector is expected to surpass $50 billion for the first time in 2026, reaching $52 billion, representing a 29% year-on-year increase. It will continue to grow by 11% in 2027, reaching $57 billion. SEMI stated that this is primarily driven by strong demand for advanced memory in the construction of artificial intelligence infrastructure, data centers, and next-generation computing systems.
