Loongson Technology, in collaboration with Chengdu Guanghangxin Technology Co., Ltd., has successfully developed the nation’s first fully domestically produced FC Storage Area Network (SAN) switch. This innovative device is powered by a Loongson-architecture processor, marking a significant breakthrough in overcoming long-standing foreign technological dominance. It ensures independent control over the industrial supply chain, fortifying the cybersecurity of China’s critical sectors while providing foundational security for storage networks across core industries.

Designed specifically for high-stakes business data storage and exchange networks, the FC SAN switch excels in virtualization and cloud-based storage environments. It supports ultra-fast data transmission rates of 16/32Gbps, with a switching latency of under 350 nanoseconds. The switch is available in multiple port configurations—24, 48, or 96 ports—and delivers a total aggregated bandwidth ranging from 384 to 1536 Gbit/sec.

Built to operate reliably in challenging conditions, the device maintains continuous performance in temperatures up to 50°C while consuming minimal power. When compared to imported switches of similar specifications, this product not only doubles performance but also significantly reduces overall costs.

The two companies formalized their partnership with a cooperation agreement signed in Chengdu. Together, they are committed to leveraging their respective technological strengths and resources, maintaining independent control over core technologies, deepening their expertise in FC switch development, and strengthening foundational data security for storage networks.
