On June 5, 2026, GEM entered into a cooperation agreement with Ningbo Oriental Institute of Technology, with the shared goal of establishing the 'Joint Laboratory for Cathode Materials of Solid-State Batteries'. Drawing on the expertise of the team headed by Academician Sun Xueliang, as well as GEM's engineering and technical professionals, the laboratory will concentrate on pioneering original innovations and advancing the industrialization of pivotal technologies throughout the entire solid-state battery supply chain. Its mission is to surmount technical hurdles in domains such as cathode materials and electrode interface modification, all while constructing a holistic innovation ecosystem.
