On June 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a pivotal document. The document underscores the necessity of bolstering research and development (R&D) in high-end optoelectronic chips and devices. This includes a focus on high-speed optoelectronic chips, high-speed forwarding and switching chips, all-optical switching devices, and optoelectronic co-packaged devices. Relevant technical trials will be conducted to expedite the technological maturation process.
Simultaneously, concerted efforts will be directed towards overcoming challenges in optoelectronic interconnection technology for intelligent computing super-nodes. This involves validating intelligent computing network technologies and products to ensure their robustness and efficiency.
Furthermore, the document calls for extensive research and trials on wide-area intelligent computing network transmission technologies. There will be a heightened focus on validating and implementing cutting-edge technologies, such as wide-area lossless networks, task-based scheduling, and intelligent computing network operation and maintenance agents. These initiatives aim to enhance network scheduling capabilities, boost transmission efficiency, and reduce bandwidth costs.
