Biwin Storage has revealed in a recent announcement that it has entered into a standard operational procurement agreement with a memory chip manufacturer. Under the terms of this contract, Biwin Storage is committed to purchasing enterprise-grade flash memory chips from the supplier, adhering strictly to the pre-agreed quantities, pricing, and delivery schedules. The total value of this procurement commitment stands at a substantial US$1.861 billion.
The contract spans a period of 24 months, during which both the purchase volumes and prices remain fixed, providing stability and predictability for both parties involved. This agreement extends its coverage to encompass both the primary entities and their respective subsidiaries.
Delving into the specifics, the contract outlines that the volume of purchases in 2026 will constitute 4.45% of Biwin Storage's total NAND FLASH acquisitions in 2025. Furthermore, the purchase volume projected for 2027 will represent 14.88% of the 2025 total, indicating that these planned procurements constitute a relatively modest portion of the company's overall NAND FLASH requirements.
