On May 28th, the People's Daily conducted an exclusive interview with He Tingbo, a Board Director at Huawei and the President of its Semiconductor Business Department. He Tingbo highlighted that Huawei is grappling with two significant constraints in the chip sector. Firstly, Moore's Law is expected to hit its physical limits within the next decade. Secondly, due to external environmental factors, Huawei has encountered this development bottleneck sooner than its industry peers. She stressed that the essence of Moore's Law is not just about shrinking chip sizes but also about achieving faster computational speeds, richer functional integration, and more competitive pricing through continuous technological advancements. Drawing an analogy with urban planning, she explained that when urban expansion leads to reduced commuting efficiency, the logical folding technology proposed by the 'Tao Law' offers a solution. By stacking vertical spaces and integrating intelligent connection systems, it enhances resource allocation efficiency while preserving functional density.
