During the midday break, the Hang Seng Index registered a 0.54% uptick, and the Hang Seng Tech Index wasn't far behind, climbing 2.29%. Leading the charge were the semiconductor, hardware equipment, and non-ferrous metals sectors. Notably, Lenovo Group's stock surged by an impressive over 17%, SMIC saw its shares rise more than 8%, and Aluminum Corporation of China (Chalco) experienced an increase of over 7%. On the flip side, the electrical equipment, home appliances, and retail sectors faced significant downturns. Shanghai Electric's stock dropped over 7%, HeungKong Electric Appliances fell more than 6%, and Shiyue Daotian's shares declined over 5%. Meanwhile, southbound investors made net purchases amounting to HKD 2.134 billion, demonstrating their continued interest in the market.
