According to a report from South Korea's Newsis on Tuesday, the labor union representing Samsung Electronics' non-semiconductor division has filed for an injunction with a South Korean court, aiming to stop employees in the semiconductor division from voting on a proposed bonus increase. This union encompasses roughly 13,000 workers across the smartphone, TV, and home appliance sectors. A spokesperson for the union explained that this move was prompted after they were notified of their exclusion from participating in the vote concerning employees of the semiconductor division's union. Last Friday, around 57,000 Samsung employees commenced voting on a compensation plan that offers substantial bonuses to employees in the memory chip division, in an effort to preempt an 18-day strike.
