On May 25, the Zhuhai Science and Technology Industry Group disclosed that Zhuhai is expediting the development of a comprehensive display industry chain, encompassing everything from chip manufacturing, packaging, and testing to end-use applications. In the realm of Micro LED technology, HC SemiTek has initiated its Micro LED high-end chip integration project in Zhuhai, backed by a substantial total investment of 5 billion yuan. This venture has led to the establishment of the world's inaugural 6-inch Micro LED mass production line, which has now commenced large-scale delivery. Concurrently, BOE Zhuhai Jingxin's Mini LED production line is witnessing a steady expansion in its production capabilities. Once the project attains full operational capacity, it is projected to generate an annual output value of 5 billion yuan, accompanied by annual tax contributions of roughly 500 million yuan. Notably, the Zhuhai Science and Technology Industry Group stands as the second-largest shareholder in HC SemiTek, following a strategic equity investment of nearly 3.4 billion yuan made in May 2021.
